THE MOODY BLUES Go Now! LONDON 45

THE MOODY BLUES
Go Now! b/w Lose Your Money
London #45-LON 9726 Released 1965

Recorded in 1964 and featuring lead vocal by Denny Laine (later of Paul McCartney’s Wings, though Paul barely admits it these days), this 45 made the Moody Blues an internationally known beat group from Birmingham, England. A few follow-up singles didn’t receive the attention that “Go Now!” got and Denny Laine left the group. He was replaced by Justin Hayward, who would ultimately become the true voice of the Moodies.

The b-side is an uptempo R&B stomper with a Stones feel that even a Yardbirds fan would dig.
